Made from 100% Wool

Wool’s natural properties make it both breathable and insulating, so you stay cosy without overheating. The fibres are soft against the skin, providing all-day comfort whether you’re indoors or out. Wool also naturally wicks moisture, keeping you dry even in damp conditions, making it an ideal fabric for unpredictable weather.

Hand-Knitted in Nepal

Each jumper is lovingly hand-knitted in Nepal using traditional techniques. Skilled artisans work meticulously with knitting needles to create these high-quality pieces, reflecting the rich heritage of Nepalese craftsmanship. Every jumper is unique, with subtle variations in the stitching and pattern that make it a one-of-a-kind garment. Supporting this handmade jumper also means supporting ethical and sustainable production practices.

The relaxed, oversized fit provides comfort while maintaining a fashionable silhouette. Perfect for layering during colder seasons, this jumper is sure to become a staple in your wardrobe.

Proper care of your 100% wool jumper will help maintain its quality, appearance, and longevity. Here are some detailed care instructions:

Washing

  • Hand Wash Only: Wash your wool jumper by hand using lukewarm water and a mild wool detergent or a gentle baby shampoo.
  • Avoid Hot Water: Hot water can cause wool to shrink or felt. Use lukewarm water instead.
  • Gentle Washing: Briefly soak the jumper for 5-10 minutes. Gently squeeze the soapy water through the fabric without rubbing or wringing.
  • Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse the jumper in lukewarm water until all detergent is removed. Use the same gentle squeezing motion to avoid damaging the fibers.

Drying

  • Press, Don’t Wring: Press out excess water by gently pressing the jumper between towels. Do not wring or twist.
  • Reshape: Lay the jumper flat on a clean, dry towel. Reshape it to its original dimensions, paying attention to the neckline, cuffs, and hem.
  • Dry Flat: Roll the towel with the jumper inside to remove more water, then unroll and lay it flat on a new dry towel or a drying rack. Place in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight or heat sources like radiators.
  • Avoid Hanging: Do not hang the jumper to dry, as this can stretch and distort the fabric.

Storage

  • Fold, Don’t Hang: Always fold your wool jumper rather than hanging it. Hanging can cause the fabric to stretch.
  • Cool, Dry Place: Store your jumper in a cool, dry place to prevent mildew and damage. Avoid plastic bags, as they can trap moisture.
  • Moth Protection: Use cedar balls or moth deterrents to protect your wool jumper from moth damage.

Ironing

  • Avoid Direct Heat: Direct ironing can damage wool. If needed, use a steam iron on the wool setting or a hand-held steamer, keeping the iron or steamer a few inches away from the fabric.
  • Steam Carefully: Gently steam the jumper while it is laid flat to remove wrinkles, without direct contact with the iron.

Pilling

  • Remove Pills: Use a wool comb or fabric shaver to gently remove any pilling. Alternatively, you can carefully pick off pills by hand.

Stain Removal

  • Spot Clean: Dab small stains with a clean cloth soaked in cold water. Avoid rubbing, which can spread the stain.
  • Use Mild Detergent: For tougher stains, apply a small amount of mild wool detergent to the affected area. Rinse thoroughly with cold water.

Professional Cleaning

  • Dry Clean If Needed: If your jumper is heavily soiled or stained, take it to a professional dry cleaner experienced with wool garments. Ensure they know it is 100% wool.

Following these care instructions will help keep your 100% wool jumper in excellent condition, preserving its appearance and comfort for years to come.
